There are many community-made game modes for Prop Hunt, many features different updates or additions to them. To start playing Prop Hunt, you first need to install the GMod game mode for a base of the game.

At the end of each round, the roles are swapped so the hunters become the hiders and the hiders become the hunters.

Once you are found and killed, you will not be able to respawn until that round has completed. Then the hunter’s role is to go out and try to find the players disguised as props. Basically, the players chosen to hide first will be spawned in as props and they have 30 seconds to hide. Players on the GMod server are broken up into two teams: one being the people who get to hide first and the other team who are the hunters or seekers. However, Prop Hunt is a game mode rather than a standalone game, so it may not have the depth and complexity of other games.Prop Hunt in Garry’s Mod is like the game we all know and love, hide and seek. The game can be customized to suit individual player preferences and it continues with multiple rounds until a team reaches a certain number of wins or the time limit is reached. It promotes teamwork and communication, as players must work together to achieve their objectives. The game mode typically takes place where the Props are objects that blend in with the environment, such as boxes, chairs, or barrels. The game mode has become popular in a variety of games, including Call of Duty, Garry's Mod, and Team Fortress 2. Props have the ability to change into different objects, adding an element of strategy and unpredictability to the game. The Hunters must shoot and destroy any object they suspect is a Prop, while the Props must try to stay hidden and not get caught. At the start of Prop Hunt, the Props are given a short amount of time to hide somewhere on the map, while the Hunters are tasked with finding and eliminating all of the Props before the time limit expires.
